Free Rice is a great charity that gives rice to starving countries. All you have to do is get what the words means correct, and you add to your rice pile. It is free for you. I do it all the time, it is actually really fun. :)

Learning to knit with a round loom.

So on the weekend that I went with the nurses to Midway, one of them tried to show me how to knit. It was frustrating for me, and not at all fun. She said that it would take time for me to know how to do it...I decided that I didn't want to take the time. Instead I found an eaiser way (for me) to knit. I introduce you to "Knifty Knitter". They are looms that help you knit. I bought the round looms and have been making hats. They have other types of looms for scarfts etc... but I figure I will get good at hats before I switch to something else. There are many things I should be able to do with my round looms, but like I said...after I get better at hats. I am really enjoying the knitting.

Now my family knows what they are getting for Christmas! :)

Good Weekend

Went to Midway with several nurses I work with. Had a very good time. Stayed in an extrememly nice condo, and just relaxed. I taught them how to play Rumiqueb. (Sp?) I couldn't believe that they had never heard of it! We need to play it when you come over Allison. I remember the stories that Grandma Brown-Jackson tells about how they would have to set a timmer for Daddy. Hee!

My final is tomorrow (Wed) so I should probably go to bed now. :)

Australia

Went to the movies today. I saw 'Australia' and the new James Bond movie. Loved, loved, loved, loved, and loved 'Australia'! Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman did such an amazing job. Baz (Director from such wonderful movies as 'Romeo + Juliet etc...) did a wonderful job. The movie had everything! Comedy, Drama, Action, and a good dose of very intersting Aboriginal concepts.

I would tell anyone to see this movie.

India

Very sad what has and is happening in India. I pray for the people who are effected by all of the chaos. Hate of others is such a horrible thing.

School over soon.

My last chapter test is tomorrow (Wed) and then the final is on the 10th of Dec. I am then done for a tiny bit with school. It starts back up in Jan., but I get a bit of a rest. So far so good. I am getting around a 99% for the class so far. I guess we will see with this last chapter test and the final. Next semester I am going to take another math class and English. Both count towards my nursing degree. So soon I will have done three classes of my pre-reqs. Yay! Only like a million more to go, but I am doing better than I was. The class that I already took that counted was 'Human Growth and Dev.'. So soon I will have HG&G, Math 1020, and Eng 101 behind me. Yay!!
